About the role
Macquarie University Hospital Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Manager of Clinical Trials and Oncology to join our dedicated team at Macquarie University, Macquarie Park. This is a full-time position and will see you leading the delivery of high quality clinical trials across a range of medical specialities and oversight of the pharmacy oncology services to the hospital.
What you'll be doing
1. Oversee the planning and execution of all clinical trial and oncology activities.
2. Coordinate a team of clinical trial and oncolgy pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe and efficient trial/oncology support to Macquarie University Hospital.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders,
including investigators, hospital staff, clinical trial unit staff, and other external collaborators.
4. Identify opportunities to improve clinical trial processes and oncology workflows.
5. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to pharmacists and technicians within the team.
6. Contribute to the strategic direction and performance of the clinical trial/oncology pharmacy service in what is a rapidly growing department.
What we're looking for
1. A registered pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions on scope of practice and post registration clinical or management/leadership qualitifications or equivalent skills/experience.
2. Strong understanding of clinical trials and regulatory frameworks governing investigational drugs and compounding in Australia.
3. Expertise in oncology pharmacy.
4. A commitment to ongoing professional development aligned with the values of Macquarie University Hospital.
5. Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
6.
Ability to work independently and prioritise a varied workload under tight deadlines.
