How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive awareness and adoption of EcoStruxure Automation Expert across ANZ—targeting system integrators, OEMs, and industrial end-users.
Your mission? Grow the pipeline, influence decision-makers, and close strategic deals. Reporting to the Pacific Zone EAE Leader,
you’ll work closely with sales teams and our Centre of Excellence to unlock large-scale opportunities. This role suits a strategic sales hunter with deep industrial automation expertise and a passion for innovation.
You’ll be on the road engaging clients and partners through in-person presentations to support EAE adoption (30–50% of time spent travelling) with a vehicle or car provided to support.
Key responsibilities:
- Direct sales and revenue growth for EAE in your region
- Market development and strategy execution – develop and execute sales strategies to win market share with EAE
- Stakeholder engagement and prescription – develop and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders to promote EAE adoption
- Cross-functional collaboration and leadership – work closely with and across different teams to align solutions with market needs
About You
You love being a sales hunter,
prospecting for new business and doing whatever it takes to drive the adoption of new technology so you can deliver value for your customers. You’re a visionary professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to shape the future of industrial automation with bold thinking and commercial drive, who has:
- Tertiary qualification in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field/equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in consultative, technical solution sales
- Deep understanding of industrial automation systems, including ICS, PLC/SCADA, DCS, and edge computing
- Demonstrated experience in launching and scaling new products, offers, and solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing impactful business development strategies that drive growth.
- Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business value propositions.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence engaging stakeholders from the shop floor to the C-suite.
- In-depth knowledge of key industrial segments such as Water/Wastewater (WWW), Mining, Minerals and Metals (MMM), Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Energy and Chemicals (E and C), Infrastructure, and Cloud and Service Providers (C and SP)
- Passion for sales and business development, with a proactive, results-driven mindset
- Strategic thinker who works well both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
