About The Opportunity
Are you passionate about empowering parents to achieve their educational and career goals? Our Parent Pathways program is the career choice for you.
Join our Parent Pathways Sydney Greater West team, where you will be responsible for supporting Parents to identify and reach their education and employment goals, ultimately contributing to their long-term economic security. The role of the Mentor is to provide comprehensive support, empowering and encouraging parents throughout the program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Build trusted relationships across a caseload of participants providing an elevated level of customer care and professional support throughout their journeyFoster meaningful interaction through initial and ongoing participant appointments,
guiding them to achieve their goals and unique program objectivesIdentify and address barriers to employment through referral to relevant community support services and provide ongoing mentoringFacilitate job placements with local employers for job-ready participants and provide continuous support to ensure lasting employment successWork both independently and collaboratively to exceed KPI targets, driving team and personal successEnsure all tasks are executed in full compliance with Department guidelines, legislative requirements, and organisational procedures and policies
About You
Possess a minimum Certificate III qualification in fields such as Employment Services, Community Services or other relevant areas. Or be willing to pursue a relevant qualificationPrevious experience in a case management, employment services or social services is highly regardedRelevant lived experience would be highly valued,
as it enriches our support for participants experiencing barriers, whilst navigating a complex system. Your personal journey will bring empathy, understanding, and empowerment to those we serveSkilled in empowering individuals to navigate their barriers and foster connection with support services in the communityDemonstrated success in a high-performing workplace with a strong commitment to high quality values based human servicesAdvanced conflict resolution and problem-solving skillsWell-developed skills in customer service, coaching and administrationExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong computer literacy skills including proficiency using MS Suite of programsMust hold a Driver's licence and a Working with Children Check or relevant state equivalent (or are willing to apply for a WWCC)Applicants will be required to undertake a police check,
