**About the Opportunity**
We have an exciting new opportunity to join Metcash as our Group Resilience and Risk Manager.
This position will support the Group Head of Risk and Compliance with the ongoing development and management of the Metcash Business Resilience and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, establishing an effective risk-based process to identify, measure, monitor, and control enterprise-wide risks.
**In this Role**
The key focus for this role will be to update and mature Metcash’s framework and practices for identifying and managing risks that could materially impact Metcash’s objectives (financial, strategic, and operational):
- Develop and manage a holistic and integrated approach to ERM across Pillars and Functions, engaging with key management teams. This includes review and management of Metcash’s Risk Management Framework and Guidelines and associated governance documents.
- Support leadership with ongoing engagement with the Board, Audit Risk & Compliance Committee (AR&CC;), Group Leadership Team, and the Management team as appropriate to build and enhance risk management awareness, capabilities, processes, and tools.
- Mature processes to identify, analyse, evaluate,
monitor and report on strategic and operational risk exposures across the Group.
- Assist with the annual review of Metcash’s Risk Appetite Statement, and operationalizing risk appetite in business practice.
- Develop and implement systems and processes for reporting of risk incidents, undertaking risk and control self-assessments, preparing Key Risk Indicator reporting, and undertaking risk scenario analysis and stress testing.
- Assist the business with the review of operational incidents, root cause identification and control remediation and documentation to effectively manage risk.
- Develop and generate regular Enterprise Risk Reporting for various Metcash governance forums
- Develop and manage a Risk Liaison Network in the Pillars and Functions.
- Lead ongoing development,
review and management of a Group Crisis Management and Business Continuity Framework to support operational resilience.
- Lead the ongoing implementation and management of Metcash Food’s obligations under the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act (SoCI) and associated rules and regulations.
- Further advance Project/Program Risk Management in collaboration with the Group PMO and Change.
In addition;
- Provide thought leadership to the first line of defence on risk and resilience matters.
- Build, maintain and enhance relations with Pillar and Function heads and their management teams for the smooth implementation of risk management activities across the organization.
- Assist the Group Head with undertaking whistleblower investigations and assist with the management of the Ethics Line and Speak Up Policy.
- Assist with the administration of Metcash’s GRC technology tool.
**You’re Likely a Match If**
- Minimum Five years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance practice
- Experience within an ASX wholesale distribution, retail or supply chain business would be desirable (similar experience in a large complex corporate environment would be beneficial).
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Law
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management and assurance principles
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and systems, with experience working in a regulated environment
- An understanding of Whistleblower legislation and the conduct of investigations (or the ability to acquire)
- An understanding of ASX Corporate Governance Principles
- Proven leadership skills - ability to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
- High energy and passion for excellence.
- Self-confident with an ability to accept and respond to challenges in a positive manner.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, including workshop facilitation experience.
- Ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.
- Broad understanding of business issues, metrics, organizational linkages and customer value.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create scenario plans.
- Ability to establish relationships with all levels of employees.
