About the role
The Project and Policy Officer supports the Office of the VCAT CEO by undertaking research and providing expert policy advice on a range of issues concerned with the pursuit of VCAT's strategic directions. The role obtains, analyses and interprets organisational project and performance data to provide evidence-based advice that supports decision making. The Project and Policy Officer also provides support, including project management and reporting, for discrete projects, reviews and initiatives sponsored by the Office of the VCAT CEO. The role works collaboratively with project officers across VCAT and CSV to promote consistency and quality in project delivery as well as coordination with strategic priorities.
Working closely with the CEO and the Senior Strategic Adviser, the role assists in building, maintaining and enhancing key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, whilst driving continuous improvement within a complex, sensitive environment.
The role operates within a dynamic environment that requires a capacity to exercise sound judgement with limited guidance and to undertake effective and timely actions.
