As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership within your specialty area, supporting both individual patients and broader patient populations. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will deliver expert nursing and/or midwifery care while guiding best practice within your team. Your role will contribute to improving patient outcomes through direct clinical care, leadership, and supporting professional development within the team.
This role may also include leading projects, coordinating programs, or acting as a Nurse Practitioner Candidate, developing extended practice capabilities under supervision. You will be accountable for your clinical practice, the outcomes achieved for your patient group, and for ensuring that care delivery aligns with policies, standards, and evidence-based practice. About You
You are an experienced and driven nurse with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Your advanced leadership skills, clinical expertise, and ability to foster a supportive team environment enable you to effectively lead change, drive consumer engagement, and ensure best practice standards are met.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing Board of Australia, with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
Proven leadership skills, with expertise in communication,
problem-solving, conflict resolution, change management, and staff development.
Demonstrated clinical competence in gynaecological oncology or relevant nursing practice, with experience supervising junior staff and students.
Sound knowledge of legislation, national safety and quality standards, and contemporary nursing and healthcare practices.
