Senior Legal Counsel – Melbourne

Join Kinetic, Australia and New Zealand's largest and fastest growing bus operator, as we shape the future of zero-emissions transport. We're looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert, commercially focused legal advice and play a key role in protecting Kinetic's interests while supporting growth across the business.





In This Role, You Will

Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of contracts including services agreements, procurement and construction contracts, M&A; documentation and leasesDeliver clear and strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders with a focus on practical solutionsSupport business growth by managing internal and external legal workstreams, transactions and tendersEnhance legal risk and governance processes and ensure compliance with regulations and tender obligationsStrengthen legal knowledge and awareness across the business

About You

You hold a current Australian practising certificate with at least 5 years' PQE from a top or mid-tier law firmYou're commercially minded, solutions-oriented and experienced in advising across diverse legal areasYou bring strong judgement, integrity, communication and stakeholder engagement skillsYou've worked on complex commercial matters, ideally with exposure to M&A;, infrastructure, projects or energyYou thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a team that's making a difference
