Our services span the planning, development, maintenance and operations of all University campuses, ensuring safe, functional and future-ready physical environments that enable excellence in education and research.The Buildings and Services team within FCS is responsible for the strategic planning, development and maintenance of all physical infrastructure and assets across ECU.The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and suitably experienced individual to drive the planning and successful delivery of a range of strategic projects.Key responsibilities of the role include:
Significant (10 years +) demonstratable and relevant experience in both the delivery of major building projects and an understanding of the construction industry legislative framework,



planning approval processes and building contracts and developing programme plans, managing relevant resources and reviewing progress to ensure the delivery of agreed project outcomes.Extensive knowledge of major and minor works, delivery space planning and benchmarking, major project procurement strategies, financial management, budgeting, forecast cash flows and reporting.Ability to juggle numerous high visibility projects in a fast-paced environment working to tight timelines, as well as an ability to work well under pressure and work collaboratively.Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders across the University to effect positive improvements.Demonstrated experience leading a team, as an effective leader with tenacity and drive who is looking to achieve outstanding results and most importantly,



be someone that enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting ideas, mentoring and encouraging others to develop their skills and experience.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have experience in project management across the full life cycle from identification to completion, including experience managing and leading a team.
You will be passionate about planning and day to day management of projects in a higher education environment and have highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills.You will be thoroughly familiar with one or more project or program management methodologies, such as PMI, PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.
Postgraduate qualifications in program or project management and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training,



or professional accreditation, will see you well equipped to confidently plan, coordinate, and deliver projects and programs.You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.Benefits & RemunerationThis full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $136,958 to $143,228 p.a.
