Despite medical advancements, animal lifespans are on the decline. Today, the average pet only reaches 37% of their full potential lifespan and statistics have shown us that many suffer from dental disease, cancer, and obesity. **The Team**
Lyka is growing and is on the hunt for an exceptional Business Operations Manager that will be responsible for the Business & People Operations team at Lyka, while also working closely with the Lyka exec team and Board of Directors.
**Who you are?**
This role will be responsible for building and leading the BizOps Strategic roadmap, and work on optimising processes & systems across Lyka as we enter our next stage of growth. You will both be great at executing on projects and able to zoom out strategically to guide the team. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across the whole company, but also work closely with the exec leadership team and the Board of Directors to drive their cadence and agenda, ensuring we are focused on our strategic priorities.
**What you will do?**
Business Operations:
- Lead the Business Operations and People Operations team and drive the strategic priorities and roadmap of the BizOps team
- Analyse existing business processes and tools to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for automation
- Collaborate with People team to set up people processes and operations for the next stage of company
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency across various business functions
- Drive new sustainability initiatives within Lyka (we are currently carbon & plastic negative, and currently undergoing B-Corp approval)
- Manage facilities and drive a vibrant office culture within the team, aligned to our values
- Roll out initiatives across the company to help reinforce Lyka values
Cross-functional collaboration & communication:
- Optimise reporting cadences & structures across the company during our next stage of growth
- Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing across the organisation
- Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams and act as a liaison between departments
Executive & Board Support:
- Drive the cadence of the Lyka executive team, ensuring they are focused on the right focus areas and agenda
- Optimise and maintain the operating cadence of the executive team, providing support and ensuring the team runs effectively
- Assist in the preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives
- Support the preparation of board material, board cadences and communication
- Assist with future capital raises
**Who you are?**
- 4+ years in business operations and leadership operations
- Experience leading a small team
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyse, and interpret complex data; extremely proficient in Office tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills and EQ; ability to work with a large range of stakeholders across the business
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in business operations and operational efficiency
