**Role Description/Criteria**
Applications are sought for the casual position of Instrumental Music Teacher - Strings Currently position: 0.1. Student numbers will increase Term 2.
The successful applicant will tutor violin and viola students from beginner to VCE (AMEB Gr 8+) and conduct string ensemble rehearsals. The ability to teach cello and double bass is an advantage. This position is based at our Mornington Campus and will extend to the Tyabb Campus once the Yr 7 string program commence Term 2.
The role of the Instrumental Music Staff is to work with the Director of Music to provide:
- Instruction to instrumental students Years 7 to VCE;
- Ensemble direction;
- Assistance in ensemble management;
- Attendance at music concerts (as outlined by the Director of Music);
- Maximisation of students' participation in the co-curricular and curricular aspects of the Music Department;
- Promotion of the musical life and culture of the College;
- Support to the Director of Music in ensuring that appropriate reporting and lesson content is provided for students;
- Other duties as described from time to time by the Deputy Principals - Heads of Campus.
