Staff employed within the service are expected to identify evidence-based practice approaches and to use these within their work.The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services offers a vibrant, dynamic, collaborative and supportive work environmentWe are a passionate group of people who love to work hard offering evidenced based servicesYou will help us achieve the highest standards of care and recovery for our consumersIn return, you will be supported to undertake continuous professional development and enjoy the work that you doWe have good processes and supports in place to help you organise your day and do it wellYour New RoleDelivery of evidenced based treatment and interventions that support consumers with complex mental health related needs and their families/carersSupport the team and other staff in clinical decision makingDrive self-development; contribute expertise in clinical meetings and to improve service deliveryParticipate in supervision and provide supervision to students and colleagues as requiredActively lead in discipline specific and multidisciplinary team activities and meetingsProvide expert opinion regarding diagnostic impressions, formal diagnostic assessments, feedback on process considerations and treatment planning considerations/adviceApply sound treatment skills for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, and have willingness and capacity to commit to development of EB knowledge and practiceAssist with day-to-day operations of the team (e.g.
workload management, support staff with clinical decision-making, staff recruitment, orientation and retention).About YouYou must have a qualification as a RPN, OT, SW or Psychologist with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disabilityExperience and knowledge of supporting women / birth parent with mental health challenges during perinatal periodCurrent knowledge of effective evidence-based interventions appropriate to low prevalence disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorder and substance abuseYou are committed to developing your practice as a professional in clinical mental healthYou are able to contribute and function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and enjoy working autonomouslyExcellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in computer software use and information technology on the Microsoft Windows platform and ability to learn new programs and navigate databasesHold a current Victorian Driver's Licence, and ongoing ability to use this form of transportValid Working with Childrens CheckInterested?
