Senior Tax Accountant
Work Location:Perth. Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster:Monday to Friday
Support Fortescue's tax compliance activities and the broader tax function, in particular in relation to Fortescue's international operations.
Key accountabilities will include:
Review of international tax compliance returns and obligations.
Accurate provision of international structuring and other tax advice to the broader Fortescue team.
Ability to interpret complex tax advice and its application to Fortescue's international transactions and contracts.
Understanding of global Transfer pricing obligations.
Creating collaborative working relationships with relevant internal and external parties to manage tax inquires.
Understanding and application of Fortescue's Tax Risk Management framework including the development and implementation of appropriate tax policies and procedures for the corporate group, in particular focusing on global governance.
Conducting regular reviews of the tax systems, processes and controls utilised by the Group to ensure they comply with agreed tax policies and manuals.
Qualifications and skills required:
5-7 years' in a similar corporate or advisory role
Undergraduate degree with a majoring in Finance, Tax, Accounting and/or Law
Post graduate qualification (CPA, CA and/or Master of Taxation)
International tax experience, including compliance, Transfer pricing and advisory- preferred
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
Ability to work well under pressure and within strict time frames
