About the role

This role is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team in a growing and transforming organisation. You will provide communications and engagement expertise to support the delivery of cultural and operational initiatives.

This multi-faceted role works collaboratively with the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team, senior leaders and key stakeholders to support the delivery of business outcomes.

This is an initial 12-month contract, based in Hawthorn, Melbourne (with some flexible working options).

Key responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and measure communication plans for projects and business initiatives

- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively

- Create supporting collateral including working with external providers for printed materials, videos etc

- Coordinate the delivery of events, including virtual and in-person sessions

- Write and edit engaging content and customer stories for internal and external channels

- Provide general communications support and administrative tasks as required

We’re looking for someone who

- Has a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience within a Communications role

- Is Tertiary qualified in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline

- Is highly competent in verbal, written, traditional, and digital communication

- Possesses strong networking and interpersonal skills for building relationships

- Can manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment

- Has experience in managing events

- Is a delivery-focused, problem solver who shows creativity and initiative

- Can work collaboratively and independently as required

Please note, the successful applicant will be required to have an NDIS Worker Screening Check and hold a Working with Children Check issued in the last 12 months for employment in the Disability sector. If you have lived or worked for a continuous period of 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years, a certified International Police Check from that country or countries will also be required.
