First Nations Cultural Mentor (Identified role) $85,000 per year + super + salary packaging

We're seeking a First Nations person to join us as a Cultural Mentor in Dubbo, NSW (Wiradjuri Country ). This is a role where you can bring your skills, knowledge and culture to the forefront and contribute to something powerful!




As the First Nations Cultural Mentor you will provide cultural support and mentorship to Aboriginal Youth Wellbeing Workers who are working in remote areas of NSW. You will also assist in the care coordination of complex cases involving First Nations people to ensure services provided by the team are culturally informed, safe and responsive.

What You Bring to the Table Cultural Identity: This is an identified position. Marathon Health considers that being Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under s14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)
In-depth knowledge of the challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, especially in remote areas.
Understanding of the unique issues affecting young people —whether it's around health, education, employment, or social and emotional wellbeing.
Hands-on experience working with and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and a commitment to providing services that are culturally safe and truly responsive.
Demonstrated experience working with community stakeholders —from Aboriginal Elders to families, ACCOs, ACCHOs,



schools, and other grassroots community groups.
Proven skills in engaging and communicating with young people (12-25 years) and their families—being a trusted voice they can connect with.
A valid Australian Driver's License and the willingness to travel across the ten Youth Outreach Project areas to connect with communities and make an impact.
