Associate - Investment Banking, Private Equity, Direct Investment & Corporate Strategy at JS Careers JS Careers is pleased to be working with a prestigious US multi-asset fund to recruit an Investment Associate within their flexible-investment team. The firm is a successful international investor, which has a track record of successful investments globally. Due to momentum in the Asia-Pacific region, the firm is seeking a new Associate Investment professional to join their Sydney team.
This role will join a team responsible for identifying private credit and special situations investment opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.
This role will analyse investment opportunities across the the capital structure; including distressed debt and special situation buyouts, mezzanine finance, direct lending and bespoke equity solutions.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a US private capital firm that has local and international momentum to grow its Australian presence.
To be considered for the Associate position, professionals require ~2-6 years of total experience, including experience in a direct investment fund, investment bank or management consulting firm.
Role Responsibilities:
Investment origination and deal sourcing in the credit and special situations sectors; Transaction execution - management of advisors, commercial and financial due diligence; Financial analysis, valuation and modelling - for both new and existing investments; Developing investment committee papers and client presentations; Developing and implementing financial and operational strategies. Candidates must also possess the following:
2-6 years of experience in a direct investment fund, investment bank or management consulting firm.
Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Studies, Engineering, and/or Law).
