- Base salary will be in the range $91,658.60 - $98,330.37 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)

About This Opportunity

The Senior Research Assistant is the specialist research subject matter expert to support high-quality research outcomes at all stages of the research life-cycle. We are seeking someone with a strong research background and processes excellent report writing skills in the disciplines such as Urbanism, Architecture, or Urban Design. You will directly report to the Head of School.





Key responsibilities will include:

- Undertake advanced elements of research, in accordance with Urban Design, Architecture, or Urbanism discipline.

- Apply specialist technical skills or knowledge to research activities including but not limited to report writing.

- Undertake data analytics to support urban-focused investigations.

- Communicate and engage with research stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with approved ethics protocols.

- Contribute to research outputs, joint preparation and authorship of reports/manuscripts.

- Any other duties, as reasonable directed by the supervisor.

About You

- Completion of a relevant degree in as Urbanism, Architecture, Urban Studies,



or Urban Design or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

- Demonstrated research-relevant knowledge and skills with expertise in a wide range of specialist and general research techniques.

- Proficiency in data analytics to support urban-focused research and project-based investigations.

- Demonstrated experience in external engagement activities, including stakeholder collaboration and communication.

- Familiarity with local and national research contexts, particularly relating to funding schemes and strategic research priorities.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to produce clear, succinct documentation.

- The ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a research environment.





- Experience with AI tools and their application in research and design workflow would be beneficiary.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, mandatory immunisations, etc.
