teacher-led preschool from the age of 3, growing and sustaining a quality early childhood workforce, and greater supports and connected services for families in the 1000 days of a child’s life.

About This Role

Are you interested in leading the coordination and review of executive workflows, including Cabinet, parliamentary and ministerial documentation?

As the Senior Executive Coordinator, you will be at the heart of supporting the Chief Executive with strategic advice, governance processes, and executive coordination.

The Senior Executive Coordinator will act as the central liaison point between the Office for Early Childhood Development, the Minister’s Office, Cabinet Office, senior departmental staff, and external stakeholders. This role plays an integral part in supporting effective executive operations by coordinating key workflows, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring consistency and quality across executive, Cabinet, parliamentary, and ministerial correspondence.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate preparation, review and tracking of all executive, ministerial,



parliamentary and Cabinet correspondence.
- Lead end-to-end coordination of correspondence workflows for the Chief Executive.
- Support with coordinating Cabinet, parliamentary and committee matters,
- Provide research, analysis and quality assurance to support executive-level advice on early childhood policy, reforms and strategic priorities.
- Oversee the daily management of correspondence related operations, ensuring effective communication on behalf of the Office of the Chief Executive.

About You

The Senior Executive Officer at the Office for Early Childhood Development requires a broad skill set to manage complex coordination, governance, and policy-related responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who brings:

- Executive Coordination and Process Management:



Ability to coordinate complex executive workflows and manage sensitive and high-priority matters.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, with the ability to liaise and negotiate at all levels while maintaining confidentiality.
- Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Collaborative in finding solutions and contributing to group efforts.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfort in adjusting to different team dynamics and shifting priorities.
- Government Knowledge: Understanding key government processes relating to Parliament, Cabinet, and Ministerial matters, with a focus on early childhood education.

Desirable Skills

- Knowledge of the early years landscape including the roles and responsibilities of government agencies and non-government stakeholders.
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.

Remuneration

ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 (1.0 FTE) per annum, plus superannuation of 12%.

Additional Note

This is a full-time term contract role (1.0 FTE) until 16 July 2027 with potential to be made ongoing.
