Drive one of Australia's most complex and strategically vital defence acquisition programs—supporting the delivery of nuclear-powered submarines under the Sovereign Submarine Program.

About the Role:
Be a trusted senior Project Manager responsible for supporting the mobilisation, secondment, scheduling,



and delivery of the SSN Construction efforts in partnership with the UK and Australian Shipbuilders.
? Develop detailed mobilisation strategies and project plans with the Australian Shipbuilder
? Coordinate and manage secondments of Australian personnel to the UK
Prepare and lead the clearance of critical project documentation
Mentor and uplift the capability of the Sovereign Submarine Program Delivery (SSPD) team
Deliver executive briefings, strategic updates, and stakeholder presentations
Provide status updates on all current and forecasted work and risks
Submit monthly timesheets detailing hours and work performed
What You Bring:
Deep project management expertise in complex acquisition programs
? Demonstrated experience in defence or shipbuilding environments
Proven ability to operate at senior executive level and across teams
Strong documentation, scheduling, and estimation capability
Track record of mentoring APS or Defence staff
? Eligible for NV1 clearance and ITAR compliance
? Willingness to sign Confidentiality and Security Deed Polls

About the Role:
You will work under limited direction as a senior developer within a multi-disciplinary Agile Scrum team delivering solutions that are secure, scalable, and maintainable. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle—collaborating with stakeholders, integrating systems, and driving innovation across Defence applications.
Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications in Java, .NET, and modern frameworks
Implement robust testing strategies using xUnit and DevOps pipelines
? Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and sprint cycles using Azure DevOps and SAFe




Build cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure infrastructure and CI/CD tooling
Engage stakeholders, present prototypes, and contribute to architecture decisions
Create and maintain high-quality documentation and deployment processes
Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical improvement initiatives
What You Bring:
3+ years' experience in software development within agile, multi-disciplinary teams
Expertise in Java, C#, .NET, and Dynamics 365 (desirable)
Knowledge of security frameworks and application hardening
? Experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps CI/CD deployment
? High proficiency with Git, Miro, and Azure DevOps
Formal qualifications in Information Technology or related field
Hands-on testing experience and automated test development
Familiarity with SAFe, Scrum, Kanban,



and the Digital Service Standard
