At The Farquhar Group, our foundation is built on a commitment to care, excellence, quality, and integrity. We believe in fostering a work environment where these values are not just words on paper but are deeply embedded in everything we do.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Group Procurement Manager to lead and coordinate purchasing activities across our vertically integrated manufacturing business. You’ll be responsible for sourcing the right materials and components at the right price, ensuring our factory and site teams are well-supported, and helping us maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and reliability.
This role plays a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly by managing supplier relationships, staying ahead of production needs, and looking for smarter ways to do things across the supply chain.
Typical duties will include:
- Manage procurement of all materials required for manufacturing and installation, including board, hardware, finishes, packaging, fixings, and site-related supplies
- Work closely with production, scheduling,
and project teams to forecast material needs and align purchasing activity with job timelines
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve value and reliability
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships — local and national — and seek alternative sources when required
- Oversee purchasing compliance with safety, quality, and group standards
- Monitor stock levels, lead times, and delivery performance to avoid shortages or bottlenecks
- Maintain accurate purchasing records in the purchasing system (Unleashed), including pricing, delivery dates, and supplier performance
- Collaborate with finance and project delivery teams to support cost control and margin targets
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce waste or cost
- Support inventory management and stocktake accuracy
- Supporting New Product Development
- Provide guidance and leadership to a small purchasing team
Ideally, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a procurement or supply chain role preferably within a complex manufacturing environment
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business/Procurement/Supply Chain Management)
- Post Graduate Qualification or Professional Membership (advantageous but not essential)
- 10 years of progressive procurement experience
- Strong supplier negotiation and management skills
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems and good Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Understanding of cabinetry production materials preferred but not essential (e.g. board types, hardware systems, adhesives, benchtop materials, etc.)
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Thrive in a hands-on, fast-moving business
- Have a strong commercial mindset and a practical understanding of manufacturing timelines
- Are solutions-focused and always looking to improve how things are done
- Understand the link between procurement, production, and project delivery — and can balance priorities across all three
- Are confident managing multiple suppliers and juggling time-sensitive requirements
What we can offer you:
Values Driven Culture - Work in a business that prides itself on care, quality, excellence, and integrity — these values shape how we treat our customers, suppliers, and most importantly, our people.
Strategic Influence - This is a key leadership role where your decisions will directly shape supply chain performance, manufacturing continuity, and project success across the group.
Purpose and Impact - Your role will ensure our teams have what they need to deliver high-quality results, on time — helping us uphold our reputation for excellence in every kitchen and project we deliver.
Staff Discounts - generous staff discounts on kitchens cabinetry and solutions.
Free Onsite Parking - take the hassle of finding a car park or taking public transport with free onsite parking.
