**Position Individual Retention Specialist / Direct Marketing Specialist**

neurological conditions. We're a combined entity of the ACT, NSW, Victoria, and Tasmania with over years' insight
into how to live well with progressive neurological conditions.
**Role Purpose**
The Individual Giving Retention Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance donor
retention and drive sustainable revenue growth. This role focuses on designing and implementing multi-channel
fundraising campaigns, with a strong emphasis on digital-first approaches, to increase engagement and long-term
support. By managing cash appeals and regular giving programs, the specialist will create compelling donor
experiences that foster loyalty and strengthen relationships. Through data-driven insights and collaboration with
internal and external stakeholders, this role ensures continuous improvement in fundraising outcomes while upholding
best practices and compliance standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Create and implement robust retention strategies for both cash donations and monthly giving programs.
- Drive the planning and execution of four annual appeal campaigns, overseeing the development of creative
- assets, messaging, and donor engagement journeys.
- Manage and strengthen the retention of regular donors,
utilising digital and telemarketing channels to maintain
- engagement.
- Analyse program performance and leverage data-driven insights to continually refine and optimise campaign
- effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop personalised donor experiences, ensuring a seamless and
engaging journey that encourages long-term support.
**Key focus area Success factors**
- Conduct research, design, write, and execute four annual cash appeals.
- Work in close partnership with the Individual Giving Acquisition Specialist to
- implement four cash appeals each year.
- Collaborate with the Individual Giving Acquisition Specialist to maintain a continuous
**Campaign Development**regular giving program.
**and Execution**- Prioritise a digital-first approach to fundraising initiatives.
- Manage partnerships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the successful
execution of high-quality campaigns.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute integrated fundraising campaigns
across diverse channels.
- Ensure all acquisition activities comply with relevant fundraising regulations and the
industry's best practices.
**Key focus area Success factors**
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for acquisition programs to
measure success.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of campaign outcomes and donor behavior, partnering
**Analysis and Reporting**closely with the IT business partner.
- Prepare in-depth reports with actionable insights and recommendations for senior
- management.
- Develop accurate forecasts and manage program budgets to ensure an optimal
return on investment.

- Partner with the Communications team to ensure consistent branding and engaging
storytelling.
**Stakeholder**- Collaborate with fundraising teams to enhance supporter journeys and improve data

- Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to gather impactful content
- and stories of donor impact.
- Foster and maintain effective partnerships with external suppliers and agencies.
- Ensure all activities are in full compliance with the FIA Code of Conduct.
- Adhere to all relevant state regulations and legislation, particularly those related to
fundraising and privacy.
**Qualifications/Work Experience**:
- Demonstrated success in leading appeal and regular fundraising campaigns or in a
- comparable marketing role.
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed fundraising targets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate
effectively at all organisational levels.
Essential - Strong project management skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple
- tasks simultaneously.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of years' experience in fundraising.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current fundraising trends, strategies, and best practices.
- Experience within the social impact or disability sector.

- In-depth expertise in individual giving fundraising as a specialised business function.
