What are we looking for-



You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience.ithin the context of the responsibilities described under ?your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following



Demonstrated knowledge of UNIX like operating systems and command line operated software.r>Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages Python, R etc.r>Demonstrated expertise with bioinformatic analysis and pipelines and familiarity with next generation sequence data.r>Experience with high performance computing including cloud computing .r>Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy in a multidisciplinary team,

while prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.r>

Mandatory qualifications, professional registrations or other requirements

The successful applicant must hold at a Bachelor in Computer Science, Science, Bioinformatics or relevant fields.r>The possession of a postgraduate qualification majoring in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics and/or Genomics while not mandatory would be well regarded.r>In some circumstances and following consultation, Queensland Health staff be required to participate in on-call or weekend roster arrangements.r>Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification.bsp; Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of duties.r>

Vaccine Preventable Diseases VPD requirements

It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment

Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella and COVID Health Employment Directive No.2/21PDF and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70PDF .r>Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies also be required for this position.r>Existing staff that are engaged prior to 1 are not subject to this condition of employment unless they apply for a role with VPD requirements that is with a different Queensland Health i. a Hospital and Health Service HHS to HSQ.r>
