About the Role

The Clinical Nurse ECT Co-Ordinator CN ECT is responsible for the organisation and facilitation of ECT with the Clinical Team for both the Mental Health Unit and Community out-patients.he ECT Clinical Nurse will liaise with the in-patient Medical Teams, Community Mental health Teams along with NGO's and Community Care Facilities to facilitate reviews of consumers,

and develop education and organise pre/post ECT care.he CN ECT provides an early leadership role within the career pathway for nursing within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health services and is responsible for a specific patient population and is able to function in more complex situations while providing support and direction to the Registered Nurse RN and other non-registered nursing personnel.he CN ECT will provide clinical and managerial leadership on the day-to-day operation of the Nursing team, monitoring workload, allocating duties and ensuring duties are discharged safely and effectively.e CN follows defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe, and services and workplaces.p>

The CN ECT will work proactively in accordance with the principles of social inclusion, promoting independence and recovery.o champion a culture based on principles of recovery, choice and personalised care, providing a role model to the rest of the team.p>

will remain current for up to 12 months

Employees who are permanently appointed to Queensland Health be required to undertake a period of probation appropriate to the appointment

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID- Health Employment Directive No.2/21PDF and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70PDF .p>
