About the role

The Registered Nurse Palliative Care provides contemporary, evidence based nursing services and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by achievement of the standards of and registration requirements from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia NMBA.his is evidenced by educational preparation, continuing professional development, adhering to relevant legislation and the context of care.p>

The Palliative Care Unit operates a seven day/ Monday to Friday service, 24 hours a day.he Palliative Care Service provides inpatient care, outpatient care and care in the community setting for patients with a life limiting illness.bsp; The RN Palliative Care Unit provides evidence based care,

assessment and planning for symptom management and end of life care.bsp;

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following

Contemporary clinical knowledge in the area of Palliative care nursing, delivering competent nursing care in complex situations while providing support to other team members.bsp;

Ability to provide patient and family centred care to the patient using best and within the standard of of a Registered Nurse.nbsp;

Ability to communicate to a high standard effectively and engage with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors whilst displaying a high level of professional nursing care.r>Ability to educate, inform, counsel and support patients and families on general and clinical information relevant to patient's care, accessing the Clinical Nurse when expert advice is required.r>Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.r>

Demonstrated high standard of written and oral communication skills.p>

Mandatory Requirements
