About the role



The West Moreton Health Service is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Revenue Team within the Finance and Business Services Division.nbsp;This position will Coordinate, monitor and evaluate the provision of financial services relating to all aspects of consumer finance at The Park ? Centre for Mental Health.p>



Accountabilities of this role include



Ensure effective internal control systems are maintained to meet audit requirements and relevant government legislation and regulations, including end of month procedures, accrual accounting recognition, reconciliations, receipting, management,

and production of relevant reports.bsp; Liaise with auditors as required.r>Promote activities designed to increase patient and staff awareness of own source revenue and the management of revenue collection and financial accounting processes in relation to consumer/patient fees and charges, sundry debtors and patient trust funds.r>Actively manage debtors by maintaining comprehensive account notes in relation to outstanding balances, evidence based follow-up activity, reconciliation of financial accounting records, validation of fees and charges.r>Maintain an up to date working knowledge of the computerised information systems associated with Debt management and Patient admissions, transfers and discharges.r>Provide supervisory direction and training to administrative staff in the achievement of work unit objectives and development of effective administrative systems and processes and review on an ongoing basis.r>Participation and attendance at workplace meetings and training sessions as requested.r>Provide excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, and communicate clearly and confidently with consumers, relatives, consumer trustees, the public trustee and solicitors, members of the public and departmental staff, both in person and over the telephone



About you



Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following



A sound understanding of or ability to quickly acquire a sound understanding of accounting policies, procedures and practices, and a demonstrated high level of skills and ability in applying this knowledge, including ability to interpret legislative and policy requirements, perform reconciliations and to maintain appropriate internal controls.r>sound computer skills for spread sheeting, word processing and database including financial and patient information systems, with the ability to apply these skills in the extraction and preparation of data for reporting.r>Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate and consult with clients, staff and external organisations, and effectively deal with demanding situations.r>the ability to supervise a team, set realistic goals and establish priorities to meet deadlines in a changing environment.r>



Mandatory Requirements

Vaccinated against COVID- as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.2/21PDF and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70PDF
