About the role

Temporary role up to 3 months with possible extension, 38 hrs p.

The Mount Isa Hospital Outpatients Department provides various services supported by both local and visiting Medical Specialists, Nursing Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Allied Health Services.bsp; In the ,014 people attended clinics held in the department.bsp; A multidisciplinary model of care is used to help facilitate a coordinated team approach.bsp; The Outpatients Department is governed by the Specialist Outpatient Implementation Standard .p>

The Registered Nurse

Works in the Outpatients Department providing professional, safe and quality patient and family centred care.r>Is committed to enhancing and enabling positive patient experience and outcomes by fostering support, collaboration, and partnership with patient, families/carers and other health service providers at Mount Isa Hospital.r>Contributes as part of an innovative, dynamic and diverse Nursing and Midwifery team that recognises and values professionalism, leadership and excellence in patient and family centred healthcare.r>


Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences, evidence of these will be required prior to screening will be conducted for the successful candidate; this include criminal history checks, aged care worker checks and Vaccine Preventable Diseases VPD risk role compliance.PD risk roles require evidence of vaccination or immunity to

Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and COVID-. 6-month period of probation apply.p>
