As the Electrical Inspector you will be required to undertake complex inspection, investigation, and auditing activities, through utilising extensive technical and electrical knowledge and skills, to ensure the safety of consumer installations connected to the network, in compliance with Western Power-s Inspection System Plan and regulatory obligations.be successful in this role you will need to
Comply with the regulatory and technical requirements of Western Power-s Inspection System Plan as agreed with, and approved by, EnergySafety.ely and efficiently undertake compliance inspections on electric installations connected to or intended to be connected to Western Powers Network, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and standards.ertake investigations into instances of non-compliance with electricity regulations and statutory requirements by electrical contractors and workers Collect and manage evidence of non-compliance through an approved investigation process Who are you in action
You will ideally possess the following experience and attributes
Min 6 to 8 year-s demonstrated post-trade experience within the electrical industry, specifically in domestic, light & heavy industrial and commercial work.d all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the Energy Safety Act 2006.ailed working knowledge of AS3000 and West Australian Electrical requirements Excellent external stakeholder management skills and experience Experience in electrical metering and/or installation practices, regulations and procedures Competent in the utilisation of MS Office Suite and scheduling/work management systems Electrical Workers Licence Eligibility to be designated as an Inspector Electrical Certificate IV in Government Investigations must be completed within 12 months of commencing position Certificate of Energy Coordination Act 1994, Electricity Act 1945 must be obtained within 12 months of commencing position National Police Certificate Possess Cert III ESI Distribution / Transmission Overhead / Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing and/or Electrical Trade Certificate, and hold a current WA Electrical Workers License.t-s in it for you With representation from 101 countries, Western Power has a rich, and diverse employee workforce.ough our established Employee Network Groups, we bring our people diversity to life.Western Power, we strive to build an authentic culture of inclusion and belonging for all. people are our strength.an employee at Western Power, we offer
