The Courts Administration Authority (CAA) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Work Health and Safety (WHS) professional to join our People and Culture Division.
The Senior WHS Consultant is responsible for championing and delivering on the CAA’s work health and safety plan, and to ensure work health and safety risks are identified and managed.
Reporting to the Organisational Development Lead, the role primarily provides centralised Work Health and Safety consultancy services which enables the CAA to provide a safe and productive environment for staff,
including compliance with relevant legislation and best practice principles with regard to WHS, injury management, and wellbeing.
We are seeking a candidate with the following essential knowledge and experience:
- The ability to comprehend, interpret, and provide advice on legislation, policies, and practices.
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and reporting skills.
- High-level coordination skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage priorities and programs.
Ideally, the candidate will have demonstrated experience with WHS programs and a sound understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act. However, for the right candidate who possesses the core qualities and foundational criteria but may have limited WHS knowledge, we are willing to offer study assistance and support.

Special Conditions:
- This is an ongoing opportunity.
- Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act 1993.
Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act 2009.
- Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
- As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
Remuneration:
ASO6 (salary range: $98,478 – $104,165 pa plus 12% superannuation)
