Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, we are looking for mechanical fitters across a variety of shifts. You will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance across the site.
This includes servicing and repairing equipment in bulk storage, production, processing, blow molding, and packaging areas, covering the entire manufacturing process and main facilities of a major dairy manufacturing site.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing mechanical work to ensure all plant remains in good working order.
- Completing mechanical maintenance functions, including breakdown, preventative, and project works efficiently while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
- Ensuring all work complies with food safety requirements.
- Participating in Preventative Maintenance programs to achieve world-class machine and line efficiency.
- Investigating failures and recommending improvements to reduce recurrence.
- Working unsupervised on shift and making decisions to promote efficiency.
- Completing all documentation to meet compliance and operational standards.
About you:
- You hold a relevant tertiary qualification; minimum Trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of GMP within the FMCG field.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office is desirable.
