About This Opportunity
We’re looking for a Marketing Director, ANZ to join us at Align as a key member of both our ANZ Leadership Team and APAC Marketing Leadership Team . This is a chance to make a real mark in a fast-growing business where the team is lean, the pace is rapid, and your ideas and actions will directly shape our future.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving all professional marketing activities for Invisalign and iTero in ANZ. You’ll work closely with sales, clinical, and regional marketing teams to craft and deliver bold strategies, innovative campaigns, and meaningful customer experiences. You’ll need to think big and long-term, but also be ready to dive into the detail and roll up your sleeves to make things happen.
This individual will lead in business planning and product launches to multi-channel marketing and performance tracking. As we’re growing fast, you’ll play a crucial role in helping build the foundations for the future while delivering results.
What You Will Do…
- Shape and deliver business plans, product positioning, and budgets to hit ambitious targets.
- Lead and manage a wide range of professional marketing projects — and get hands-on where needed to ensure they succeed.
- Keep a sharp eye on the numbers — tracking business growth, spotting trends, and learning from what’s working (and what’s not).
- Bring marketing efforts to life through close collaboration with sales, clinical, and regional teams.
- Build connections with customers through marketing programmes that truly add value.
- Drive creative development, localisation, distribution, and everything in between — making sure our marketing fits local needs and regulations.
- Plan for today and tomorrow: make sure we have the capacity and capabilities to grow, and that we’re spending our time and resources where they count.
- Champion collaboration and inclusivity across teams, ensuring all marketing communications support our plans and make the best use of our resources.
What Makes This Role Exciting
- Be part of a high-growth business where your ideas come to life and drive real impact.
- Work across functions, cultures, and interact with teams from different countries.
- Opportunity to think differently and the status quo, with the accountability to turn those ideas into action.
People Leadership:
- Attract, grow,
and mentor top marketing talent — building a team that’s ready for what’s next.
- Strengthen our marketing muscle in ANZ through coaching, development, and capability building.
- Be an active, visible part of the ANZ and APAC leadership teams — bringing insight, ideas, and energy.
Customer Excellence
- Build trusted relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, and influencers in the region.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor moves, clinical insights, and pricing dynamics — and use that knowledge to keep us one step ahead.
- Represent Align at key customer events, educational forums, and meetings.
In this role, you’ll need …
- A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
- Around 15 years’ experience — ideally across marketing and commercial roles (sales, business development, general management).
- Proven experience in leading and inspiring teams.
- Expertise in Marketing Excellence, including launch excellence and product lifecycle management.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build partnerships across teams, levels, and geographies.
- Great communication skills — written and spoken — and the ability to influence at all levels.
- Passion for building customer relationships and delivering value.
- An ability and willingness to think strategically while also rolling up your sleeves and getting into the weeds to deliver business growth in the short term
- Flexibility to travel up to 30% (domestic and international). This role is based in Sydney, Australia.
