Rowlands Asset Services is keen to hear from **experienced and Trade Qualified (Cert. 111 minimum) Mechanical Fitters.**We have exciting opportunities for experienced Fitters for immediate start in Port Botany, NSW.
Currently employing:
- 1 Fitter - casual 6 months with the view to become permanent
- 1 Fitter - casual job share - 2 days per week (Mon, Tues or Thursday, Friday) - rotating roster of day and afternoon shift.
- Weekend work (mainly Saturday) work available for Boilermakers and Fitters
As a member of our service team, you’ll handle equipment upgrades, overhauls, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heavy complex assets across various industries.
The role demands both independent fieldwork and collaborative efforts on larger projects. We value energetic individuals with a background in heavy industry or experience with automated equipment. **An ability to work at heights is necessary.**
The successful applicant will be provided a uniform, travel allowance, great support from a solid team and an ongoing position with an immediate start. Shifts may be rotated weekly, Mornings approx. 6.30am-3.00pm and Afternoons 2.00pm - 10.00pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required occasionally however this is optional.

To be successful, the applicant needs to meet the following requirements:
- **YOU MUST HAVE** Australian recognised qualifications, Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering - Fitter Trade and have at least 3-5 years' experience in role as detailed;
- Understand and comply with WHS policies;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers;
- Be a motivated, self-starter; with a professional attitude;
- Have ability to work under pressure with excellent time management.
- Criminal check and Maritime Security Identification Card will be required after two months of employment.
- **CASUAL/PART-TIME : We are also keen to hear from anyone with the experience and credentials required above that are after less than 38 hours a week or Part-time work to fill in for leave. Perfect for the semi -retired.**_

Pay: $54.86 - $63.09 per hour
