The Melbourne based head office has undergone a recent restructure that has created broader career scope and development for local talent and this has resulted in an opportunity for a commercial sales leadership candidate to enter the business as the functional lead of the sales and customer development team.
About the role
As the Sales Director for Australia, you will assume responsibility for the commercial performance of the business across all channels to market including major retailers, online, direct to consumer and speciality customers. Leading a team of high performing Customer Directors and Account Managers you will instil best practice customer engagement, category management, promotional and activation execution continually optimising profit, revenue and share gains. As a key contributor to the Executive Leadership team you will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the regional business plan, the road map to delivering to the global business goals and the development and progression plan of the talent locally and how this plays into overall business success.
Experience and skills required
This role requires extensive commercial experience gained in a leadership role managing a tiered team across a retail, e-comm and wholesale customer network. You will be progressive in your approach with an ability to apply a consumer first and category management mindset that enables success across multiple channels to market and categories. Experience in a global business structure is highly advantageous however we will be looking for courageous leadership, commerciality and diversity in channel exposure as key preference. This opportunity is open to a first time sales director however it is essential that your experience includes channel or divisional leadership with full accountability for customer and team performance.
