This private, stable, and successful family business located just outside the city, is a notable retailer. They have a sizeable number of highly recognizable stores throughout South Australia and interstate and can be found throughout many quality shopping malls. They have grown their retail outlets and workforce through the years and now have approximately 90 employees.

They have created a new role for a detail oriented, committed, and capable individual to join them in an administrative retail support role.

In this newly created position,

you will be a key addition to their retail operations and contribute to their ongoing success.

Reporting to the General Manager, and being of support to the business owners, this role is primarily responsible for assisting in the effective utilisation of systems, the provision of reports, updating pricing databases, and assisting with other administrative and retail compliance activities.

Working in a small but dedicated team, a day in life in this position could include but not be limited to;

- Inputting pricing data and ensuring the databases of stock pricing is correct and maintained.

- Providing retail reports that assists in identifying trends, rebates, stock profitability and other useful retail information for better decision making.

- Providing assistance with the monitoring and adherence of operational retail procedures and providing feedback to the General Manager and others as necessary to ensure compliance.

- Assisting with a wide range of other administrative duties including but not limited to HR/Operational reports such as monitoring staffing rosters/variations.

This position requires an intermediate level working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite with a strong skill set in excel being highly desirable. It will be necessary to have a high level of organisational skills that will allow you to manage and prioritise a variety of activities that are part of the role. You will need to have the ability to facilitate and build strong working and business relationships with internal and external customers to be able to obtain the information you need to do your job properly.

Applicants that are administratively savvy, have had prior retail experience and are passionate about the industry may find this position particularly appealing. Knowledge of POS systems and other technologies used in stores will be viewed favourably. Applicants that have had prior experience and have excellent data entry and administration skills are equally encouraged to apply. Particularly those that have strong reporting skills, a “Can Do” attitude with a team player approach.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
