About the role

What you need to know:

Working as part of the core project team, you will assume responsibility for the analysis and design activities for a key strategic initiative relating to AIG’s primary electronic product distribution platform. In this role you will be required to:

Liaison extensively with internal and external SMEs, customers and channel partners,

Define and document as is and to be business processes,

Define and document business, functional and non functional requirements,

Play a significant role in solution design,

Work with the IT and business testing teams to define and document test plans and test cases

You will ensure adherence to internal governance and compliance procedures, policies and guidelines.

You will also participate in operational audits, disaster recovery and business continuity exercises, when required.

What we’re looking for:

Experience

8+ years’ experience as a business analyst in either the General Insurance or Financial Services sector

A good understanding of general insurance intermediated electronic distribution channels

Solid experience in developing grounds up end to end solutions

Proven ability to work on multiple IT initiatives concurrently, delivering to plan and requirements

Experience in both waterfall and agile

Qualifications and Skills

Formal qualifications majoring in Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering

Proven ability to work on multiple initiatives concurrently, delivering to plan and requirements

Excellent change management skills, particularly business process improvement, change communication, solution design and impact analysis

Excellent stakeholder management skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive documentation and technical writing experience

Able to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies and diverse groups

Solid relationship management skills

Solid understanding of APIs and configuration driven development concepts
