What you get to do in this role
Write and develop software-defined declarative infrastructure.
Build orchestration workflows by leveraging features of the ServiceNow platform.
Research and implement new open-source and commercial tools, technologies and methodologies.
Manage enterprise infrastructure at scale with code .
Collaborate with peer teams who have built world-class networking and orchestration solutions.
Due to the nature of work related to this position, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a Federal Security Clearance
To be considered for this role, you need to :
Be comfortable with your ability to design, author, test and debug code.
Live and breathe object-oriented programming, particularly Java and/or Python
Have experience writing test specifications and understand the fundamentals of test automation.
Have a capable understanding of Linux-based systems and Internet protocols such as DNS, SMTP, LDAP, etc.
Be familiar with virtualization using both public and private cloud infrastructure technologies, namely Azure
Be able to figure things out – you’ll be working with a wide variety of technology. There is plenty of help, but to be successful, you will need to be able to take advantage of it.
Be passionate about CI/CD & DevOps
Understand what it means to be part of a team, have willingness to share and collaborate, and isn’t afraid to ask for help.
Have proficient oral and written communication
Have integrity, honesty and can uphold ServiceNow’s values
Have Australian citizenship
While these are not ‘musts’, they are undoubtedly nice-to-have:
ServiceNow platform development experience/certifications
Relevant Azure, AWS or GCP certifications
Hands-on experience working with Terraform Azure
Practical experience with configuration management using PuppetAdditional Information

A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home.
