Terms:

Full Time – Based at Blacktown Workers Training Facility



Hours are dictated by the training schedule, we currently train Mon, Wed, Fri from 4.30-7.30pm. Must attend NSW Cup matches

JOB OVERVIEW



Delivery of comprehensive rugby league-based strength and conditioning. Comprising of speed, agility, and acceleration development programs for Ron Massey & NSW Cup. Assist in programming, monitoring, and delivery of all elements of the high-performance program.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



Design, coordinate and implement the Strength and Conditioning program.





Work closely with players to create individualised and position specific Strength and Conditioning programs.



Work closely with Coaching Staff to design and implement game specific pre-season and in-season training sessions.



Create a multi-dimensional strength and power program to both enhance performance and reduce injury.



Create detailed training program documentation and reporting structures.



Manage and implement a variety of testing protocols, reports, and individualised targets.



Experience with performance, sport science and strength and conditioning technologies required



Experience working with athletes, coaches and support staff in a team environment is required



Expertise in rehabilitation, movement assessment, and performance training is required



Experience working as a performance coach is preferred



Outstanding interpersonal skills and talent for communicating (written and verbal) clear and effective messages with a variety of different partners



REQUIREMENTS:



Develop a consistent and stable strength and conditioning department, providing the athletes and coaches with confidence in their preparation.



Develop a partnership with each individual athlete to enhance their preparation and performance.



Development and implementation of individualised and team periodised training programs for strength and conditioning.



Evaluate athletes' skills and review performance records to determine their fitness, readiness, and potential for improvement in athletic preparedness.



Keep and review paper, computerized, and video records of athlete and team performance.



Develop and execute the organisations vision, strategy, and operations across the strength and conditioning department.



Develop external stakeholder partnerships with sporting organisations, universities, and industry.



Effective Communication Skills through different mediums to diverse target groups including athletes, coaching and medical staff.



Strong stakeholder management and ability to cultivate relationships with top practitioners globally.



QUALIFICATIONS:



Minimum degree in Exercise Science or equivalent



Professional certification required or obtaining



Current first aid certificate required



Demonstrated experience of speed, agility, and acceleration coaching experience within elite sport



Master’s degree in Exercise Science or equivalent is desired



Experience in Catapult GPS System



Working knowledge of computer technology systems such as Microsoft Excel is desirable



Working knowledge of Athlete Management Systems such as Smartabase programs is highly desired



Demonstrated evidence of 5 years (FTE) professional sport and/or exercise science experience



STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT



Communicate effectively with key stakeholders including strength and conditioning coaches, medical personnel, coaching staff, and external providers



Effectively operate within a multi-disciplinary performance team to develop best-practice strength and conditioning plans that maximise performance and training completion



PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT



Demonstrated participation in professional development in the field of strength and conditioning and rehabilitation



Contribute to the continued professional development program undertaken by club staff



AVAILABILITY



All applicants must be flexible to work minimum of three afternoons ( 3 hour per session)



Travel with NSW Cup team to all home and away games and training camps.
