The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is Australia's most awarded 3D Animation, Game Design and Visual FX educator based in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Online with a commitment to delivering high quality, specialist vocational and higher education.

We are seeking an energetic, team-orientated Student Liaison /Administration Officer to join our team at our Canberra Campus (Online Campus also operates from Canberra). Excellent communication skills, a sense of humour and an enthusiasm for working with passionate learners in a creative and fun environment are highly valued.

In this position you will undertake and help coordinate the following work as part of a small team:

Key Responsibilities

- Student interaction and customer service

- Assist the Admissions team with coordinating the learner application/interview process

- Process student enrolments for Canberra and Online Campuses

- Setting up / following up payment plans and working with the Accounts team to ensure payments are maintained

- Maintain compliant and accurate data entry for learner enrolments, funding contracts, resulting, attendance, invoicing and award issuance

- Coordinate state funding processes and records, in line with state funding contracts and compliance regulations

- Assist with campus marketing events, such as Open Days and Information Evenings

- Assist with VET Student Loan, AVETMISS and state funding reporting processes

- Provide administrative support to teaching staff

- General office administration

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

- Experience in similar roles within RTOs or more generally within the Vocational Education & Training sector

- Experience with Student Management Systems (such as Axcelerate) and Learning Management Systems (such as Canvas)

- Excellent communication and organisational skills

- Attention to detail, even in time-sensitive situations

- Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively as part of a small team

- Capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

- Initiative and ability to learn

- Commitment to quality assurance and registered training organisation standards

- Capability to work with students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds in a supportive and constructive manner

- Proficiency in Office 365, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams


- Familiarity with the VET Quality Framework, VET Student Loans Scheme and CRICOS

- Familiarity with Skilled Capital and User Choice funding

- Experience with marketing events

- Student retention strategy experience

- Interest in games, animation, film and/or visual effects

- This is a full-time position based in Canberra.

- Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
