About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Content Specialist, Fundraising to join our Melbourne team on a permanent full time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation of compelling and engaging content for the fundraising portfolio to help The Salvation Army (TSA) brand to win the hearts and minds of individuals and communities. The successful candidate will also develop content to support the activation of holistic organisational brand strategy to deliver sustainability, relevance and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with internal content specialists, project leads,

senior stakeholders and external agencies to manage content across the fundraising portfolio for major campaigns and always on content

- Working with content specialist, graphic designers and broader team, including agency partners developing content to support the unified brand strategy across campaign channels

- Developing key campaign content tools including campaign messaging, stories and advertising messaging which are pivotal to the activation of campaigns both internally and externally

- Assist in the development of story gathering bringing to life the stories of individuals who have been supported by TSA and play an important role in the wider organisational brand expression

- Develop, edit and repurpose content to for campaign and wider brand goals to engage and acquire new audiences, while ensuring there is a strong and consistent brand voice

- Transform available data into actionable meaningful content to drive engagement and acquisition across Australian and international communities

- Support the review process where required for each campaign to inform strategy development in relation to future content needs

About You:

- Degree in Marketing/Communications (or related discipline)

- 5 years' experience as a copywriter or content writer working across a range of channels, contexts and sectors, ideally including experience in a not for profit

- Demonstrated understanding and ability to developing emotionally engaging, relevant content to support major fundraising campaign across a variety of channels, styles and formats

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong storytelling ability

- Strong awareness of, and/or interest in, news and current affairs
