What’s the role?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the position will assist in day-to-day general ledger responsibilities and managing various aspects of month end and GL reporting.

To complete the accounting / taxation / accounts / banking / audit requirements and manage the accountant role for the company.

Main Responsibilities of the position holder

To be considered, you will possess the following skills and experience:

- Manage the monthly reconciliation of payroll journals between the Payroll system and the GL.

- Preparation and distribution of monthly financial forecasts.

- Liaise with management for updating of forecasts both sales and operational numbers

- Review of monthly P&L; for completeness/accruals required/reallocation of expenses as required.

- Reconciliations – ensure that all Balance Sheet and P&L; reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis.

- Analysis and dissection of results including ad-hoc reporting.

- Liaise with external accountants to complete annual audit of financial statements.

- Preparation and provision of annual reconciliations and management accounts to external accountants to prepare annual tax return and financial statements.

- Reconcile accounts to audited financials through posting of reconciliation journals.

- FBT return preparation.

- Company Tax return schedules and supporting documentation.

- Preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS & IAS returns for all entities and individuals.

- Ensure reconciliation of bank account is completed daily.

- Maintenance of banking requirements i.e. Account Signatories/Corporate Online.

- Assist with fleet maintenance

To be successful in this role you should have:

- a Commerce, Business or Accounting degree from a reputed university

- 3 years’ experience in Accounting

- an ability to communicate accounting concepts and principles other areas of the business

- proficiency in Microsoft suite of products- intermediate to advanced user

- a good ability to display accuracy and attention to detail

- your CA/CPA certification (preferable)

- worked with 365 Dynamics system
