Where you'll be working

The Lower North Shore CYMHS Service is a specialised child and Important Company mutli-disciplinary team with psychiatrity, nursing,

social work, occupational therapy, psychology and peer work staff.vice provides assessment, individual, group and family therapy services to children, Important Company and their families with mental health concerns living in the Lower North Shore area, and consultation-liaision services to young people presenting to Royal North Shore Hospital Emergency Department or admitted within the Hospital.HS has a supportive team culture with excellent supervision, clinical governance, learning, development and clinicial improvement processes.





What you'll be doing

The CYMHS community service provides a comprehensive range of assessment and treatments for infants, children and adolescents affected by moderate to severe or complex mental health problems, or experiencing significant emotional and behavioural problems.m also provides consultation liaison mental health services for children and adolescents presenting to Hospital Emergency Departments and inpatient wards.orking with the multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other service providers, the CYMHS clinician provides mental health assessment and therapy for children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health problems and their families.volves evidence-based assessment and treatment through individual, family, parenting and group therapy programs.pation in group programs require some late afternoon and early evening work.



Candidates will need to meet the following criteria





Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.rates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.t tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Nursing to match grading of position.l Psychologists must have a postgraduate Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited University and current registration with Important Company.rated extensive experience as Health Professional.worker must eligible for membership of AASW.ust have relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years- experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.t clinical mental health experience in a community setting which includes working with children and/or adolescents and their families.rated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of infant, child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.rated comprehensive training/qualifications and experience in providing treatment for children and adolescents affected by mental health problems, their families/carers and broader system of care through evidenced-based individual, group and parent-focused therapies such as CBT, DBT, attachment-based therapies and family therapy.rated ability to contribute to the teaching and learning capacity of the team including student supervision and training, and quality improvement.r literacy and demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound administrative methods.
