Associate Nurse Unit Manager AUM - 5 North, Gynaecology and Womens Cancer Services



32 hours weekly

5 North 5N is a 24 bed medical, surgical and palliative ward providing inpatient care specialising in Women-s Health,

gynaeoncology and breast cancer.;



The Women-s hospital offers treatment for all gynaecological conditions and is a tertiary referral centre for women with chronic pelvic pain, dysfunctional uterine bleeding and issues related to menopause, pelvic floor problems or other urogynaecological problemsplications in the early part of pregnancy are cared for by the gynaecology units.aving a termination of pregnancy or who have complications related to reproductive biology such as IVF.cal, medical and palliative care for gynaecological cancers including ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancersplex Care Unit



The Complex Care unit CCU is adjacent to 5N and cares for women with complex medical and surgical nursing needs from cancer, gynaecology and maternity services.cal Nurse Coordinator responsible for the co-ordination of patient care, staff education and support and provision of an outreach consultation service within the hospital.t;



The AUM-s primary responsibilites are the operational requirements of the inpatient ward 5N and CCU, leading the delivery of efficient, effective and well planned care to women and their families.er and as part of the leadership team, you will provide day to day leadership and management of the 5N team ensuring a positive and professional working environment.ing clinical expertise to women and their families within a multidisciplinary team environment.ge of each shift to manage the service areas and to provide clinical supervision and care coordination to the inpatient service.;



The successful applicant will have

-



Been APHRA registered as an Registered Nurse

Minimum of three years- experience in acute medical/surgical care

A relevant qualification in Complex Care/High dependency nursing or willing to complete training next available course

Demonstrated ability to be able to coordinate care to women with complex care needs

Evidence of participation in multidisciplinary handovers and team meetings

Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and time managemunication and interpersonal skillsmitment to ongoing professional development., guiding and supporting team members
