Tektalent has exclusively partnered with a leading technology provider to look for a talented "Business Development Manager". Our client is leading the way in offering technology solutions & services all across Australia, they are an evolution of a "Managed services provider", offering a suite of services to transform & enhance technology environments for businesses ranging from small to enterprise.
Our client's suite of services cover cloud, cyber security, technical support, AI, Automation & digital uplifts.
This is a Junior Business Development role,
and will suit someone with a couple of years sales experience either in the Technology industry or someone wanting to break into the Technology Industry with prior experience in the Sales industry.
As a Business Development Manager you will play a vital role in driving our business expansion efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to identify potential new business opportunities, qualify them into actionable leads, and schedule meetings for our Account Executives to further develop and close.
Responsibilities
- Engaging in tenacious prospecting through phone, email, and social outreach to introduce services and schedule meetings.
- Qualifying leads into “Sales Accepted Leads” (SAL) by booking meetings that meet our Ideal Customer Profile
- Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers
- Proactively identify new opportunities as a hunter
- Working closely with the growth team to develop and implement outreach strategies
- Develop market strategies by researching lists of high potential prospects
- Prospect through email, phone & social media
- Competently sell Technology, Cyber & Digital services to new & existing clients
- Maintaining accurate and timely updates in our CRM, sales outreach tools, and timesheets.
- Arrange & attend client meetings where necessary
- Bring in new business & cultivate those relationships
Requirements
- 1 + years' of B2B sales experience ideally within the technology (IT / SaaS) industry, however other industries will be considered if it is B2B sales
- Understanding / Knowledge of technology (IT) OR the willingness to learn if you don't - to be specific (Cloud services, networking, cyber security, Microsoft 365 / stack, IT managed services support)
- Ideally experience in technology B2B OR B2C sales, however not a deal breaker
- Hunter mentality, a true business development mind-set towards acquiring new business
- Organized, efficient, disciplined & motivated to earn commission & grow into a senior role
- Proactive & motivated to cold-call and hunt new business
