Your Role: As a Senior Dispute Resolution Manager, you will manage a team of Dispute Resolution Managers and Administration Assistants, together with entitlements managers and case managers to provide expert legal and technical advice on legal issues relevant to case management and dispute resolution. You will represent Xchanging at Conciliation conferences, deal with technical and complex disputes, attend meetings with external stakeholders including ACCS and Worksafe and regularly update stakeholders about progress, outcomes and handle dispute escalations. What you'll need to succeed: Extensive experience within the workers’ compensation industry and an in-depth understanding of workers’ compensation legislation Extensive experience in the workers’ compensation eligibility process, case management, and technical management Experience in dispute resolution A keen ability to learn Excellent attention to detail Excellent customer service skills The ability to build and maintain strong relationships Advanced communication skills Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills The ability to adapt to different situations and driven to achieve outcomes. Required expertise: Previous experience in a dispute resolution role within Worker’s Compensation is preferred but not essential. Significant experience in claims management in the workers’ compensation scheme Strong working knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act , Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act and medical terminology.
