disAbility Living Incorporated
Do you have a passion for supporting individuals to realise their full potential? Can you support individuals to make choices and be in control of the decisions that affect their lives? If you answered YES! - then this could be the opportunity for you!
What do we do?
Disability living (DLi) was established in 1984, providing long-term accommodation and support services for young adults with disabilities. Since then we have expanded our services to cater for all ages offering In-home support, accommodation services, supported independent living and a variety of community inclusion services.
What will you do?
You will be part of a highly motivated and passionate Client Services Team.
You will be actively making a difference to the lives of people with disabilities by providing assistance with daily living activities in their home and in the community. You will work in a variety of accommodation services, providing people with physical, mental and intellectual disabilities the support to live in an environment which maximises personal growth, independence and community integration.
Who are you and what will you bring?
You will bring a person centred approach, placing the person at the centre of their service. You will work collaboratively, tailoring your approach to the needs of the individual. You will easily establish rapport with clients and their families and have clear and effective communication skills. You will have great attention to detail and accuracy in case notes and record keeping. You will have the flexibility to work over a 7-day roster and be available to work night shifts and attend regular training or meetings as required. Experience in mental health and positive behaviour management would be an added advantage.
What’s in it for you?
You will get the opportunity to work in a values led organisation that has a supportive family friendly environment. At DLi we can offer you training and professional development, a competitive salary and attractive salary sacrifice options, and the potential to move to a permanent role after your probationary period. Permanent roles can attract an additional weeks annual leave (in lieu of leave loading). You will be joining DLi as we continue to build in line with our new strategic growth plan.
Employment is dependent upon obtaining a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and a Working with Children Check (WWCC). You must have the right to Work in Australia and the ability to travel independently across our sites. DLi is committed to improving and sustaining employment outcomes for people from diverse backgrounds. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from different cultural backgrounds and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply
