About us



Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Fines, Registration and Crime Prevention division.



FES is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringements system in Victoria and includes the Director, Fines Victoria and the Sheriff's Office Victoria (SOV).



The SOV provides strategic direction and support on policy, operational and technological matters to regional Sheriff's Officers and regional management throughout Victoria.



SOV also provides centralised functions on behalf of the Sheriff.



About the role



As a Project Support Officer, Operational Projects, you will be responsible for:



- developing effective administrative procedures and supporting the Project Managers across the Operational Projects team with ICT, equipment, vehicle procurement projects, vendor management and day to day contract issues

- supporting ongoing administration and business analysis in relation to IT systems, including gathering, validating and documenting business requirements; modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process and system improvements

- supporting law enforcement asset management by creating and administering asset management documents and systems for accurate reporting, retrieval and storage of asset data

- performing contract management functions, focusing on management of contracts for IT systems including personal duress and optical character recognition (automatic number plate recognition) systems.



About you



As a Project Support Officer, Operational Projects, you will possess:



- knowledge of the functions and operations of Fines and Enforcement Services, with an understanding of the end to end infringement process

- knowledge of asset management systems, database development and management, duress communications system design, maintenance and operations, and law enforcement applications

- knowledge of digital and technology with working application of diverse data sources to improve the speed and quality of service delivery and decision-making processes

- knowledge of Project Management processes and Victorian Government procurement policies.



Keys to your success will be your highly developed communication, commercial and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop and implement multiple project activities.
