ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists at Austin Health for an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to assist individuals with acquired disabilities to improve their rehabilitation outcomes.
The Woodwork Instructor position will be based at Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre in the Community Integration and Leisure Services team.
The key objectives are to support people with acquired disabilities in their rehabilitation through participating in woodwork programs.
This will be achieved by:
- Providing a range of woodwork projects for participants to undertake
- Providing instruction in woodworking techniques in a way that is accessible to all participants
- Creating an inclusive and accessible environment in the woodwork room
ABOUT COMMUNITY INTEGRATION AND LEISURE SERVICES
Community Integration and Leisure Services (CI&LS;) is based at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre (RTRC) providing services to rehabilitation clients of RTRC across all clinical areas, including inpatients and outpatients we also provide services in the acute setting where appropriate.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST DEMONSTRATE:
- Experience with woodwork techniques including carpentry and cabinet making
- Experience teaching or instructing
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills such as coaching and giving feedback

All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate conducted by Victoria Police and if required, a Working with Children Check.
