In this role reporting to the Design and Validation lead,
you will provide technical expertise across DataStage and data warehouse, in delivery and execution. You will provide the back-end development and support for the Defence Engagement Data Warehouse with the aim to provide correct and timely information to assigned dependencies Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but not limited to: Deliver a component of an IT solution in line with functional and non-functional business requirements based on expertise across one (or more domains where applicable). Act as a Subject Matter Expert for DataStage and the DWH, as required Perform and recognise patterns in data to initiate incremental improvements and solutions to existing processes, products and systems in own area Provide quality advice based on relevant technical knowledge Escalate unanticipated variations for approval What we are looking for: To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and qualifications: Demonstrable ETL experience and knowledge working within a DWH environment is essential Demonstrable experience and knowledge working with IBM Infosphere DataStage is desirable but not mandatory Experience and knowledge of the IBM Tivoli suite of applications is also desirable Due to the nature of the role, candidates need to have current Baseline level clearance as the very minimum, NV1/NV2 level clearance is preferred. The successful candidate also needs to obtain and maintain NV2 level security clearance.
