The role with us As a Senior Planning Specialist,
within Planning & Performance, you thrive on developing frameworks, models and processes which are practical and executable. You will have a deep consulting skill set; be experienced at process design and transformation; and have a robust understanding of either operational or financial planning (preferably both). Leveraging your interpersonal skills, you will successfully engage with multiple stakeholders’ cross-functionally to ensure that frameworks and processes designed within the CoE are fit for purpose; and you will support the business with successful execution. You will bring your deep planning expertise and breadth of experience to manage high level analysis and synthesis and presentation of insights; and design and deliver programs of work to ensure our business is able to meet our strategic business objectives. Key responsibilities Leverage deep knowledge and experience in developing tracking and reporting frameworks to enable initiatives to drive greater levels of business performance Apply a deep understanding of business processes and systems to ensure evolving company objectives are achieved Make a strong contribution by leading cross functional teams to identify and/or deliver performance improvement (customer experience, realising operational efficiencies etc.) in the design, development and deployment of solutions, while maintaining a companywide view Take initiative to proactively identify and address risks, issues and/or improvement opportunities within Business Performance. This includes providing input into complex business problems, applying prior learning and using new approaches to solving complex problems Make decisions and implements actions in line with OKRs and the strategic direction of the function to ensure delivery of key initiatives. Assess business insights to define strategic and innovative solutions through leading root cause analysis of customer pain points to provide fact-based recommendations Proactively track and report progress of executed initiatives by reporting key metrics to stakeholders, including established Steer Co forums Partner with senior stakeholders to consult and/or influence recommendations linked to clear financial data, performance measures and business levers, which achieve business and customer outcomes Use performance data to make recommendations and improvement plans for Telstra that drive continuous improvement, transformation and efficiency Using your expertise in the Business Performance and Insights area, guide and coach others to assist in building capability across the team and increase scalability About you To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in: Framework and process design and improvement Business trend analysis Business intelligence reporting Analytical strategic thinking Revenue Analysis Analytical Problem Solving Business and process analytics Data-Driven Decision Making Executive Presentations Insights generation Strategic Influence Critical Thinking Data Modelling Microsoft Power BI Tableau Why join us?
