What you’ll do



The Product Support Specialist role is a technical position with a key focus on new product/project delivery and the resolution/avoidance of technical issues that would be incurred in an operational environment. 



Under guidance of the Technical Support Manager, the Product Support Specialist will be a key contact and leader responsible for the effective introduction of new products and equipment into the Gaming, Keno, Sky and Wagering networks through product evaluation and distribution of technical training and documentation.



The role will include the installation and configuration of Windows Servers and the installation and configuration of the MAX Gaming software.

Knowledge of SQL database migration and configuration is required as part of the requirement to support the MAX Gaming software.



Additionally, the role is responsible for the resolution of technical issues. This is achieved through proactive and sound technical analysis to ensure the identification and efficient treatment of equipment failures . Issue resolution may include liaison with internal development and support groups, external equipment suppliers and product vendors.



What you’ll bring



- Experience working with Microsoft Server operating systems including Active Directory, DNS and Hyper-V roles.

- Proficient in installation and the maintenance of Physical servers, networking, routers and switches.

- Technical qualification in Electronics or IT related discipline, preferred but not essential

- Practical knowledge of administrating SQL server 2008 to 2016

- Demonstrated experience in a technical support role

- A high level of PC literacy, and experience with business applications, including the MS Office suite and Project.

- Well-organised with strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines under pressure, with an eye for detail. 

- Proactive, professional and flexible approach, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being able to establish and use customer and external relationships to ensure smooth integration of product changes. 

- Confidentiality and diplomacy when liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a positive representation of MAX Technical Services and Tabcorp.

- Methodical Technical and analytical problem solving skills
