What You Will Be Doing
The Registered Midwife (RM)
is a valued and integral member of the Peninsula Health multidisciplinary team demonstrating flexibility in caring for patients and their families across the organisation. The RM works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes or a dignified death.
The 6-month Postgraduate Consolidation Midwife Program is designed to assist the postgraduate qualified Midwife in the transition from student to an effective member of the midwifery workforce. Throughout the program, the Postgraduate Midwife is expected to deliver care at the level of a beginning practitioner and to meet all the specific requirements of the program.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
•Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
•A demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers
•A demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
•An ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
•Be able to use basic computer software applications
•An ability to use communicate in writing using clear, concise and grammatically correct language
•Great verbal communication skills and can relate to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds
