We conduct our operations in the community in compliance with the principles of ecologically sustainable development.<p><p> <p><p><strong>The opportunity<strong> <p><p>We have an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Commercial (Contract) Manager<strong> to be a part of the Contracts Management team within the <strong>Customer Operations <strong>branch at Sydney Trains. <p><p>The position plays an essential role in driving best value outcomes and delivering risk mitigation, improved supplier performance and enhanced customer experience through managing a mix of key services, contracts, suppliers, spends, internal customers and key stakeholders. <p><p>This is a temporary opportunity for up to 7 months. Typically, the role is based in our Burwood office, however the position will initially be working remotely due to current circumstances.<p><p> <p><p> <p><p>Please click <a href="s:soumaya989255740.files.wordpress.com202105rd_capability-based-commercial-contract-manager_july2019.pdf">here<a> to view a copy of the position description.<p><p> <p><p> <p><p><strong>What you will be involved in<strong><p><ul> <li>This role will drive continuous improvement and better value delivery through ‘<strong>upstream’<strong> (pre contract award) influence, focus and strong commercial acumen.<li> <li>You will lead ‘<strong>downstream’<strong> (post contract award) risk mitigation and improved service outcomes (consistent with the customers key drivers of value and satisfaction).<li> <li>Also, you will manage the performance of contracts, agreements and other commercial deals in accordance with Sydney Trains governance framework and contractual protocols.<li> <ul><p> <p><p><strong>About you<strong><p><p> You will have the ability to <strong>drive improved supplier performance and contract management <strong>to optimise commercial outcomes for our business through the provision of commercial, legal, financial, risk, and contractual expertise. You are a natural people person, with the ability to positively influence, negotiate, and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You bring an entrepreneurial mindset into your way of working, always striving to drive better business outcomes and best value delivery. In addition, you will have strong commercial acumen and an analytical approach to problem solving, negotiation and relationship management.<p><p> <p><p><strong>Other essential requirements:<strong><p><ul> <li>Substantial experience and success in constructing, negotiating and managing high value and complex commercial relationships<li> <li>Experience in developing and delivering commercial strategy, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legal and commercial aspects of developing and executing contracts, alliances and agreements<li> <li>High level facilitation, negotiation and relationship building skills<li> <li>Experience in auditing contract performance and compliance to specifications<li> <li>Demonstrated planning, analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues and develop solutions<li> <li>Good communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively across all levels<li> <ul><p> <p><p><strong>
